My bf and I don't meet much. So I was happy when he asked me to go to the beach. Apparently his friends were coming along too. Well at the beach they all were joking and having fun and I felt left out. Wanting a lil talking time w my bf, I asked him if we can go for a 10 mins stroll on the beach. He yes hes going to in the water and then we will go...he had me waiting for a long time..until he said that i should go back to the van...I was like what? Why? I cussed him in front of his friend and I deeply regret it. I feel neglected and provoked

It sounds like you're a peripheral accessory. I don't know how you asked him to go for a walk...was it I miss you, can we have a little time together or was it I can't stand these idiots and can't you even find ten minutes for me?

Lots of men react poorly to demands. Lots of women do too.

But if you have to beg for ten minutes of undivided attention, in my dictionary, that's not a boyfriend, it's an acquaintance.

And if you beg for ten minutes and don't get it, that's a stranger.
