I refuse to "work for the man" (or "the woman" for that matter)

I've worked "for pay and benefits" all my life. College educated as well as a life-long learner and student of life, I FINALLY decided to work for myself...my motto is "I don't work for money, I work for people". I am a licensed professional in financial services (Life, Health and Medicare Supplemental LTC Insurance Provider) and I will NEVER work for hire, for hourly wage or "for" someone else to get rich ever again. I make more in commissions that equal about $50+/hr on my slowest weeks. That equals about what I was making "in the system" in office work until March 2011. I encourage EVERYONE to consider self-employment.

you seem to have a special gift/talent that not all may possess.
@mainvane I'm "in process" and building every day. Sometimes it is not the gift or the knowledge but the desire to learn that makes our success in life. Humble yet hungry, they say.

@MsAlaineEYes you have an interesting mind
@mainvane You're just flirting with me...lol. Sapiosexuals get turned on with brains!!!

I just had someone message me and ask "work for yourself, how so?". I am a Licensed Independent Insurance Provider (Agent) who works for people, not for money. I have a TEAM of Professionals, some with decades of experience and work in Insurance, who provide sales, product and protocol training that help me provide the VERY BEST service to my clients and anyone who has any questions about how Insurance products can help their financial future. I work alone, in my home office, on the internet up to 7 hours a day, on the phone briefly with many clients and I work "for myself", I do not punch a time card, lease out my life by the hour or kowtow to corporate mandates (like wearing masks and getting vaxes). Most importantly, I am continually expanding and increasing my capacity to develop my skills, talents, interests in ways that help others financially.
What's the route to your career? Hhow much money?

Also if you sell Medicare Advantage you are hurting the REAL Medicare program and people could die needlessly as a result. Maybe not today since Medicare Advantage is still relatively new but it IS creeping privatization.
Not a good idea.

Good for you. Many would rather be employed by the state or government to be taken care of.
@Elevatorpitches Hi. I am an Independent Licensed Life and Health Insurance Provider in 4 states. I don't even pay for a platform fee or E&O. I am a 1099 worker. Cost me NOTHING to enter the local group. I figured the cost of licenses; about $600. My perfect "job". I don't punch a clock, earn hourly or weekly (weakly) and MAKE MY OWN SCHEDULE and MONEY.
