I Have Family Issues
I wrote this like the day before EP shut down so might as well post it here:
It's been about five years since my life was turned upside down and I was forced to leave home and was separated from my parents. For the past five years, I've been moving from relative to relative and living with either my grandmother or uncle. And those were pretty big moves since my grandma lives in Texas and uncle in California. My mother has supposedly been sober for almost two and a half years and out of prison for 8 months now. She is supposed to get legal custody of me pretty soon, even though I'm almost 18 and it won't really matter in less than six month but I think that it's for her peace of mind so I guess I understand. San Diego and Austin have been great second homes for me but LA is my true home and can't wait to return for good and more importantly to see my mom for the first time in over four years.
