Nothing ventured nothing gained (or lost) you can tell him how you feel and risk jeopardizing your friendship and making it awkward.. Or you can never tell him anything and never move on..

@YoMomma Thanks for helping a bit. I think I will tell him. I don't want to feel these emotions and not act on them. I would have to agree I can not get over them if I don't tell them.

I think you're in danger of falling into unrequited love..
You can maybe forget about what you want and just compliment him and let him know you think he's all that..
It's one thing to want someone for yourself to show off.. That's pride and ego (selfishness) and lust.
It's another thing to care about someone and what they want and what makes them happy. Which is true love.
You have to respect what other people feel and want or don't want as well.. Which may or may not ever be you
If you seek to exit the friendzone you might just do that but it may or may not be what you want anyway
