I Hate Fast Food

I'm a stickler for home cooked meals. I don't trust fast food, what if they don't wash their hand after using the toilet, or pick their nose and snots fall in to the food. These are the scenarios that play in my head when I decide if to buy fast food or cook at home. I always end up going home to steam vegetables and add lots of spices to give it some flavour. This is my daily routine after work Monday to Friday.

If only I could turn my brain off, I could enjoy a delicious burger.

I worked fast food in the 90s. That's the least of your worries. I could tell you stories and you would never eat at mcds again.

@iamnikki well if you throw it away you get in trouble for wasting it.
Management was horrible! We didn't have anything to clean the bathrooms with, too cheap to buy 409 or windex.
We were supposed to have a bleach rinse after washing dishes. I think in the three years working there I saw bleach being used twice.
The AC went out in the grill area and they were too cheap to get it fixed. This was May in Missouri. So all summer we sweated into the food a constant drip off our noses.
We put tags to let us know when to throw food out that's been in the bin too long. It was the custom to just change out the tags not the food. As long as you ordered food during lunch or dinner rush you were fine.
As far as the hamburgers go that was pretty much as corporate wanted it and little deviation. But I do not eat lettuce!! Ever. At fast food places.

@abe182 I can totally see sweating into food. Gross. The lack of hotness and just sloppiness makes me not want to go. McD's used to have good fries.I wen't last week, they were bland and cold.

@iamnikki the fries are still good just go again when it's hopping. But yeah once they cool off they're gross.
