I Am Engaged to be Married

Just got engaged on the 13th, I proposed to him after four months of dating, a lot of people would think that that is too early but I feel like the moment was right
EDIT: I want to clarify, even though we are engaged we aren't going to announce it until he officially proposes. And we won't be getting married for three years

If you proposed to him it must have been leap day.
What would you have done with the 12 pairs of gloves that he should have given you if he had refused the proposal?

i'm confused by the question

The tradition is that women can propose only on leap day - the extra dya we every four year have in February.

Try to read this article:

it is the best one I in a hurry could find about the subject.

Thank you, but I meant the part about the gloves

The tradition is that any man who refuses a woman's proposal on leap day has to compensate her by giving her 12 pairs of gloves. It should not be misinterpreted as if a good future husband is not worth more than the price of 12 pairs of gloves; the gloves are meant to give the woman a chance to hide the embarrassment it is to not have an engagement ring on her finger.
