I Keep Things Bottled Up Inside Of Me

That Bottle in the Back Corner...

Yeah, that's the one... The one that's corked up tight and looks like there's nothing in it.... Well, there's plenty in it. That bottle holds pieces of me that I'm afraid to let go of. Pieces that I haven't shared with anyone. Pieces from the last 47 years of my life that have been simmering for so long. I've been asked about those pieces, but then I feel the hair on the back of my neck stand up and I just say "Oh, I couldn't burden you with any of that, it's all locked up safe in the bottle." There's part of me who wants to share what's in the bottle, yet part of me who isn't sure if I should, let alone how to after all these years. Do I let the bottle age for another 40 years?

I think we pretty much all have one of those bottles but I think sometimes we need to uncork it and let some of it out so it doesn't drive us crazy from the guilt sometimes I think keeping those secrets locked away like that can do more harm than good and I think that bottle might get too full and just explode and cut us all up ,psychologically of course and give us what's called emotional scars but to each his/her own I guess ive kept alot of things bottled up myself so I can't really say much I guess but I do think its good just too let it go sometimes and release some of that pent up pressure you know what I mean.

If they care about you, it won't be a burden to them. Would you not be there for them? Don't you feel you should share all of you to those that matter to you?

Hmmm....doesn't sound healthy to me. Some wines are better to be opened and left to air out a bit. Perhaps the same is true for your bottle of secrets.

Keep a secret and it remains yours. Tell it out and find another master.

I'd say to let it all bite the dust for you to be able to breathe fresh, dear fellow friend. 🤗

If you think sharing the bottle with someone else helps then open up and share you will feel better afterwards
