I worked up to it, in more ways than one. I started with cowboy boots with heels just over 2 inches, and expected half the population to stare and laugh, but there was no reaction. I've increased the height to over 4 inches, still with no reaction. Most people are so wrapped up in their own little world that they don't even notice even when my heels are plainly visible, like when I'm on a train, and I've walked miles across London and elsewhere. Actually, I'm a bit disappointed in a way! Perhaps I should try stilettos. All my public heels so far have been wedges or blocks, so not too noisy. I assume you know of the two main websites about men in heels: hhplace.org and heels4men.net?
