I Am Tired of America

That's why I am overseas now. I grew up in another country but born in the US. I have been unhappy with this "great" nation of ours now since Billy Boy "lead" it. His wife would damage the nation even more that "Barry O" has. I knew we were doomed once either of these a-moralists took the "American Throne."
We were founded on Christian principles which anti-God men and women have driven us away from for the past half century. "One nation?" I think not. "Under God?" Never again. Or past 5 leaders have never darkened the doorstep of a church of any denomination, though they have lied about it, by saying they believe in God.

Then leave...and take Ur Bible with U! Personally I'm tired of our government controlling my life with their religious beliefs.... at all levels. Pray to whom ever U want , but don't make me do the same....

"Under God" was never part of the country's origins -- it was added to the pledge in answer to those "godless commies". As to Presidents going or not going to church, of course YOU know because you spend your days with them, right?

it makes sense that you grew up in another country since you don't seem to have learned much about the U.S. constitution. Particularly what it says about any particular religion as a requirement for holding office.

And what country have you found that meets your uninformed religious views? The Middle East? Africa?

@laifu1,
I grew up in Brazil, a nation not closed to friendship. "Religion" has no play in my decision to defect from the US. Only personal close friendships developed during my formative years here. I know the people, the language, the culture and am more happy here than the 33 years I spent in the land of my birth (not choice).
The only thing I have in favor for staying in America is my little sister who has not enjoyed even ONE day of health for almost half a century come 2017. Being separated from her will be quite difficult since we have been inseparable since birth. Do you have any idea what that is like? I hope so. I hope any response you can give will be nothing but positive, because that is what I need right now in the hour of my struggle with any doubts I may have about putting my US citizenship behind me. Thanks. UJ

I'm more concerned about the last phrase In the Pledge..."with Liberty and Justice for all"...it's not happening in this country !!!!!!
UncleJlovesbrazil · 61-69, M
You're right about that. We (myself include) to take the few freedoms we have in this nation for granted. Thanks.
We'll be in contact more in the future about other subjects.

@strictgram: U totally missed the point of my comment...and it only worsens as the days go on with this adminastration ....how can U be so blind to the truth to what is happening in this country???????????
Strictgram · 70-79, C
@roo423: Exactly what is your point? Please be specific.

I am sorry that you are having difficulty. I lived in China and I understand the whole feeling at home and loving a place but missing people who are left behind. I assume that because of your sister's health she cannot come with you? I may disagree wholeheartedly with your beliefs, but I wish you happiness.

Anyone living unhappily in the US should try living in Iran or North Korea for a few months and see how that works out.
