I'm not surprised!

That is true. They also are having less sex than their parents did at the same age.

Yet they are also overwhelmingly liberal. It's almost like everything a conservative says is automatically wrong.
@LeopoldBloom Why do you say overwhelmingly liberal? And is that a good thing or a bad thing?
@IAmJess It's a very good thing. Here's a chart showing how liberal millennial Republicans are.

@LeopoldBloom Ummm, okay
@IAmJess Pew Research is a valid survey site. It's a better source than looking at the people you know personally and assuming everyone is like them.
@LeopoldBloom What makes you think I do that?
@IAmJess I don't know, you didn't seem impressed with a citation from a very respected research organization. I talk to a lot of people on here who think "all of my friends love Donald Trump, therefore he has 100% support among the American people." If you're not like that I apologize.
@LeopoldBloom Oh wow 😲 Those numbers were so impressive! 🤓 Thank you for sharing! 😂

I'm just teasing. ;)
@IAmJess There are people who actually think that way.

"It's snowing where I live, therefore global warming is bullshit"
@LeopoldBloom There are idiots everywhere.
@IAmJess That's for sure.

Believe it or not, your generation gives me confidence that the US will be just fine. You guys are even more on the ball than the millennials.
@LeopoldBloom I'm not a millennial? I don't really pay a lot of attention to this stuff, but I thought I was?

@IAmJess *Pats you on the head.* There, there child. Now, clean up your room and put all your toys away.
@MarkPaul Lol, but seriously! Am I not a millennial?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@IAmJess If you want to be factual (if you know what I mean), you need to be at least 22 in 2018.
@MarkPaul Well I'm not that so what is my generation called?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@IAmJess Gen Z... so I think that means you're the last generation.
@MarkPaul OHHH! Yes I've actually heard that. I don't know why, but I thought Gen Z was somehow part of millennials??
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@IAmJess You started out that way, but we had to push you out because of your reckless driving. Sorry.
@MarkPaul Hahaha 😂😂😂
@IAmJess I think you have to at least remember 9/11 to be an official millennial. I've also heard "90s Kids," so if you weren't even alive in the 1990s, you can't be one of those.

Regardless, it is getting a little silly. Technically, I'm a Boomer since I was born in 1962, but I don't have much in common with Boomers born in 1946. I heard a podcast about the Boomers where they divided them into "early Boomers" and "late Boomers." And "Generation X" has to be the stupidest name, like no one could think of what to call them after "The Greatest Generation" (oh, please, thank you Dan Rather for that one) and their kids were "the Baby Boom." So "Generation Y" was renamed "Millennials," and since your generation is after "Y," you're "Generation Z."

I haven't heard a name for what they're going to call kids born in the 2010s yet, hopefully they won't have a name and we can stop this nonsense. My grandparents were born in the 1890s and nobody felt obligated to come up with a name for that cohort, the World War One generation I guess, if you have to call them something.
