I Love Antiques

Bought this beautiful asthetic movement, vitorian English silver, sweetheart brooch. Made in 1886 by Richard John Wakefield of Birmingham. The back still has the original glass and photograph inside. It measures about 30mm in diameter, and is in wonderful condition. A nice find 😊

Unique indeed... The top front reminds me of dandelions... The bottom back is a picture of classic innocence...youthful naive thinking of feeling almost as if she knows the world is at her feet ... Is it rare to find these female faces smiling?... In this piece, she looks more like laughter... As if she's trying to prevent herself from giggling... Even her dimples are visible... Precious:)
