I Do Not Appreciate Being Treated As If Im Stupid

Believe me or not, it's been part of my life, and I'm sure it's happened with even a lot of others in the world, too, and whatnot.

For example, I've always believed in the freedom to wearing what suits you better, whether it's for a date, social event, occasion, or whatever. How certain shoes can go well with anything you wear and all that. And the only thing is I don't like how when you know what goes well with what and all, and they tell you, "No, that don't go with that," or "This don't go with that," or anything like that.

When I was 14, in the 8th grade, believe me or not, I was getting ready for my ceremony and all, I picked out a most perfect outfit for my ceremony: A Van Huesen square-patterned polo shirt, blue jeans, and Dr. Scholls laceless shoes. It was the perfect outfit ever for a ceremony, and my brother proclaimed he had a better outfit for me to wear: A red Tommy Hilfigur polo with white horizontal lines, blue jean shorts, and white tennis shoes. I said I wasn't going to wear that, and that only an idiot would that, and he just kept pressuring me on what he wanted me to wear and whatnot, and all of it, I believe, for his own benefit and all. So I submitted all because he kept begging and begging and begging me to wear it. So, I wore it, not for me or my ceremony, but for him. I made myself look like an idiot for him, or maybe it was him who made me look like an idiot for him himself. Especially when video recording my ceremony, he even recorded my hairy legs, too. I had a feeling something like that was going to happen.

And all this is the very same thing as disrespecting me for no reason whatsoever, and it's so they'd gratify themselves and whatnot, whether they're older than me or not.

@ernestcharles It's even worse when even family members can be and are such know-it-all's. Know what I mean?

Sad that you couldn't wear what you liked for your own ceremony.

Yes, I know what you mean.
