I Am Trying to Be a Writer

As of last night, I've queried 70 literary agents.

22 have sent form rejections.
16 no responses.
32 still pending (aka, recently queried).

I queried those 16 agents a couple months ago. Most people would say that was rejection... However I keep an open mind because some agents are back logged, take time to mull a project over, consider if their contacts would be of use for said project, etc... So I give it until January whether to add them to my Rejection pile.

I hope in that batch of 32 agents at least one wants to read the whole manuscript.
