I am think about starting to write short stories and novels. I have also been thinking about doing a book on my journey through life and the struggles I have faced.

Stop thinking. Just do it - there's a thousand would-be writers that hover on the edge of committing, for everyone that actually starts.

@ShatteredHeart no problem - no idea if you're any good of course, but like anything, it improves with practice. If you're not sure where to start, short stories are traditionally where you teach yourself how to write better, FWTW
