I Have Had Bad Medical Experiences

Wellbutrin almost kiled me. when I stopped taking it I hadent slept for 5 days. I was so tired I was hallucinating. mmy BP and heart rate where through the roof. SSNRIs may help some people but not me. makes me speed and go cra-cra. Effexor and one with an l make me do the same. No playing with the neurotransmitters, except Dopamine.

xxorama: I can not stand SSNRI's because I had heard so much negative information about this medication, I knew someone who had a bad experience with Prozac. A few years their doctor prescribed it to them, one night after dinner they had taken the medicine and it made them extremely sick. The person passed out on the floor, after that experience their spouse was not comfortable with the person taken it anymore. I hope they are not taking it anymore. Also my mom's doctor decided to put her on something else just as bad as Xanax, Lexapro. The worst part about it is my mom is allergic to it (it is on her allergy list). The doctor wanted to give it to her but he did not pay attention to my mom's allergy list to see that she is allergic to this mess. She said that she would not take it because it is on her allergy list instead she would rather continue taking the current medicine, Xanax. I know that none of there is bad side effects in antidepressants but Xanax is probably not as bad as Lexapro and I know that some people may disagree with me but it does not matter because I have my opinion and they have theirs too.

My mom had been told that she will become to dependant on Xanax and it has side effects but it is not on her allergy list. Also I am tired of the doctors and their bull. They keep my mom in a depress mode all the time, she lose sleep because all she focus on what they say (which is negative) but they do not tell her the reason why they are saying it. If they do they will her in such a lousy tone of voice which will make her feel worse emotionally; she'll ask me questions "what did I do or say?" Or that they will give her diagnosis but no reason of why they feel she has the diagnosis. I'm just frustrated with all of this bull and do not know what else to do.

She had been told not to return back to the hospital even if her back is hurting because there is nothing they could do and they do not consider backaches to be an emergency. The last time she was at the ER, the doctor came in and gave her a hard time, according to him, my mom is lying about her back pain.

I had an incredibly hellish experience weaning off of Effexor that lasted for months.
