I Think Its A Weird Coincidence

That this morning I was thinking of "The Monkeys," pop group from when I was a teenager. I was crazy about them, and never missed a show. I wondered if they were still alive, so thought I would google "Davy Jones," the lead singer. I became distracted before I got the chance, and completely forgot about it.

Tonight – just minutes ago – I'm reading about the gorilla that was shot at the zoo, and somehow I end up reading that Davy Jones is dead. I must have clicked on a link. It was one of those "I was only thinking about him today, and if he was still alive," moments. Apparently he died in 2012, but it's weird how we think of someone or something, and then they pop up into our experience within hours.
