and like the flowing rivers, when it reaches it's final destination and it's peak - no matter how much one has of it, it will never quench the thirst for it.

Such is the nature of True Love. It is often accompanied with insanity.
Such selflessness... The bordering of worship... The enslavement.... with sincerest introspection, I have come to the belief that such love does not exist in this mortal sphere. Mortality itself renders a lover and his claim to such love as useless and meaningless, more so if the object of love is mortal too.

True love, in my humble view, is only that which is beheld in a mortal towards an immortal. For true love must be such that never receives gratification. It must be continuous, lasting, and forever growing without any such conquest. Any conquest would inevitably dull it's thirst and such satiation will also lessen the magnitude of the love.

But that does not mean you can't find love in a drop, or flowing in smaller streams... it's all just a question of how much is needed for such purpose.

In reality @Wateribbon, it's not so much about whether love can be compared to water... the real question is
How much water satiates you?
And accordingly, find the water source that suits your needs.
