Their Loved One Died After an Incident with Colorado Springs Police

Jeffrey Melvin was brought to Memorial Hospital on April 26.
His family members say they did not find out he was there until Tuesday.

"We got to the hospital, my family..When we got there we were just stunned..The doctors were saying his nerves were damaged.
A doctor said it could be consistent with tasing to his body," Taneesha Melvin said.

A witness to the tasing said:
"He tried to get away and jump out the window..They pulled him back in...Then immediately he asked for my help, when I tried to help him out the cops pepper sprayed me, they kept on tasing my friend.
I've never seen somebody tased so many times in my life."

Colorado Springs police confirm that on April 26 officers were called to an apartment complex on East Fountain, on a reported disturbance.

I am so so sorry to have to admit that none of this surprises me in the least. The militarization of LEO's since the 9/11 passing of The Patriot Act has made petty tyrants of LEO's at all levels of government against citizens for simply engaging in a Constitutionally protected activity such as their right to film the exterior of any federal buildings, military installations etc from public property as per a 2010 DHS bulletin for which many LEO's are all too eager to unlawfully suppress despite a multitude of successful lawsuits against cities and states employing those LEO's.
