I Am An Alice Cooper Fan

Saw the Killer concert at the Forum in Montreal in 72. It was like musical theatre in the extreme

My first concert with my sister was Welcome to my Nightmare.

@Synyster all Coopers albums were awesome. The year I started grade 12 was when Schools Out came out

@OldHippie Right on man.

I think “Killer” is one of the very best albums he put out. In Junior High, I was in 9th grade, he was a very hot ticket for a concert. The shenanigans he pulled ie waring spit out of a hat were infamous.

@Pfuzylogic He came out onstage alone with just a spotlight on him at the start of the concert. He had a boa constrictor wrapped around his neck and a whiskey bottle in one hand. He talked awhile and then they started. he staged a street fight, did a hanging, had big balls filled with glitter dust they threw into the crowd and they would explode all over you. I was doing acid and believe me I was mesmerized lol
had Doctor John doing his New Orleans boogie for an opening act. He was excellent too

@OldHippie
Really nice opening act.
I doubt many rocks shoes really compare to what you saw.
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@Pfuzylogic it really was theatre then, most of the top bands did more than just stand there and play, watching cooper was like being at a play, there was a lot going on

I saw the Killer show in 1971. They had J Giles Band and Bloodrock as the openers. Great show
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@ReneeT you're right, I forgot about the date
ReneeT · 61-69, M
@OldHippie I still think Alice is the king of theater rock. He still sounds good to this day
OldHippie · 61-69, M
@ReneeT He inspires me to keep being a freak. lol Most "hippies" didn't call themselves that. If you asked them to define themselves they said they were freaks. It was the media that came up with hippie.
