I Love My iPad

[image deleted]
I really do, but yesterday I lost it. Panic city, here I come. I ranted. I was sure somebody stole it, but I blamed myself. I was carrying it in my shoulder bag and it is a bit too big to fit all the way in, so I couldn't zip it shut. I got home and realized it was gone. I felt sick, but my daughter helped out, by coming over with her phone and doing a locate my iPad thing and we locked it and put my phone number for any finder to call me if they found it. It was all I could do, so I went to bed, watched some tv, and went to sleep.

Suddenly, in the middle of the night, I came fully awake. It wasn't stolen. I remembered being in a store, looking for my i.d.so i could pay by debit; couldn't find it; took out the iPad; placed it into the basket in which I was carrying my groceries; paid for the groceries; and left the store without my iPad. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.

This morning I called the store and asked about it. Yes. They'd found it. When they arrived early this morning, my alarm was serenading them. They finally located the source of the music. My iPad, in their shopping basket.

I was lucky. This is what I call DUMB LUCK

Now we come to the reason I love my iPad

Because I didn't have it with me last night, I was using my Android tablet instead. Understand, I like my tablet. It serves well as a backup. For some things it is better than the iPad, but, to take a screenshot on the iPad, I need to press two buttons simultaneously. On the Android, it's a simple matter of touching the lower left corner of the screen with the little camera icon.

I've mentioned before, I have three cats, one of whom likes to lie on my lap to sleep, while I'm on one of my devices. When im using my Android, all it takes is a flick of her silky black ear to touch that camera icon. I didnt realize just how often she flicks that ear, until this morning when I decided to clean up my photo gallery and get rid of all the unneeded pictures. So far, I have deleted over two hundred. I dont know how many more there are, but it seems to be a lot.

I do love my iPad.

I lost my ipod once, searched the park up and down for it. Luckily who had found it and picked it up noticed and gave it back.

Luck was with you too. Today, I feel as if I won a lottery.

@Serenitree: Yea, I've used this online site called "find my iPhone" or something and it plays a sound so you can hear it if it's near and find it. That helped me one time.

@Resilience: I am glad it worked for you.

I feel so poor right now. 😕

I wouldn't have mine either if i wasn't rich in family. My one daughter was upgrading and gave me her old iPhone and iPad. My other daughter had already bought me the Android as a Christmas gift, and decided to just give it anyhow, because she figured I could use a backup. I have my old age pension that I live on. I am not wealthy by any stretch of imagination. But I do have wonderful kids who love me. In that way, I'm the richest person I know.

@JaggedPrincess: I hope you realize, with a friend like that, you are far from poor. A good friend is worth more than any material goods. Things can be replaced. Friends can't.

@Serenitree: aww that's sweet 😊
Family has been good to me too. I wouldn't have a roof over my head without them.
