I Want to Become a Vegetarian

Lately my colon and digestive system has been really messed up I don't even want to eat anything anymore.. So I'm thinking about becoming a vegetarian though I rarely eat meat, I eat chicken and fish cuz meat is bad for me anyways due to my health problems and I don't like it so I don't mind not eating it. Actually right now I don't mind not eating at all but that's not possible, I'm so tired of the constipation and all the shit that's been happening to my digestive system.

It doesn’t sound like eating meat and fish is your problem. Don’t get me wrong - I gave up meat and dairy because I don’t think they agree with my body, but if you’re only eating poultry and fish (which are both lean and generally quite good for you) then I think your problem lies elsewhere.

Do you eat a lot of overly processed foods? Sweets, chips, fast food etc.
@SW-User My colon is bad, I have muscular dystrophy and it's common for people like me to have gastrointestinal issues, my body is attacking it's own muscles and those are muscles so my bowel movements can be a lot slower than an average person and since 2015 I been having an unstable colon so now I really need to follow a strict diet and watch what I put into my body.

I don't eat a lot of processed food but sometimes I do eat chips or sweets, maybe once a week or twice

Wow, I’m sorry to hear that. It’s good you’re looking for ways to keep healthy. Digestive health is one of the most important aspects to consider as poor digestive health can have severe consequences on the rest of the body.

I think then you’re looking for a diet with lots of fibre and protein - so chicken and fish are actually quite important; especially fish, since it’s also packed with Omega 3 and minerals, as well as protein.

As for fibre - lots of legumes and seeds (like Chia, which again are also a boost of Omega 3). When considering digestive health, it’s also important to understand what your stomach might struggle to break down. Have you ever tested for gluten intolerance, as that can cause havoc with gut health. Also, look out for ingredients with lots of E numbers, or ingredients with long unpronounceable names - most of these ingredients are hard for our stomachs to digest and thus can cause us issues.

Make sure your body gets enough protein or you'll waste away your muscles are made of protein. Have protein shakes if you don't want to eat meat

If you don't get enough protein you will find you are low in energy and your muscles will waste
I'll ask a doctor and if it's not harmful for me I'll try it

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether good idea. I'm glad.

Buy some fiber to take and things will clear up. I get mine at Amazon but you can get Metamucil at the store. Good luck.
@SW-User thanks I'll look it up.

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Now you have to start with a small dose and build it up plus drink plenty of water, more than 8 cups a day. 👍

You might wanna look into apple cider vinegar, one of the best things for digestion

I’m thinking about becoming vegetarian too, due to my health. But there are some foods, I can’t eat. Good luck to you.
@NaturalBeautyQueen thanks. Good luck for you too.

I don't think you should become a vegetarian. I don't think you have the intelligence. We welcome your absence and we hope that it is a permanent statement. If not, toodlepip! How do you do, absolute fucko!
@GlassDog I don't really have to "label" myself as anything, it's a free world. I can't really tell if you are serious or just sarcastic

@PiecingBabyFaceTogether Completely sarcastic. Honestly, do what you want. Live your life!
@GlassDog lol you are good at it :)
