I Want a Best Friend

Wow! What do you mean maybe meeting people in real life is pointless. Real life is real the web is just some ones edited version of their real life. At 18 you have some ups and downs obviously, people have betrayed you confidences, but that's life ! We live f-up and go on. failure is normal. How many times as a baby did you fall down and get backup again? You didn't fail as a baby you learned. some how in adolescence we forget that falling down getting emotionally and physically hurt is the normal process of learning. At 40 I learned to stop getting sucked in to the charm and ego of smart sociopaths. I have less friends but I have an honest friendship with myself and the friends I still maintain. yes friendship takes work and sometimes one friend works harder than the other at it, but if your ok with the direction of that friendship then that can be OK, If not maybe put your energy into a better friend. I found university and school the best place to make friends because it is a new discovering type of environment for new interactions and friendships to develop. The internet is easy but real friends are in your real life.

Well it sounds like you have more friends then you think!, and it seems like you search for people who you can inhance your life...real people, honestly on the same quest these days, recently cut the majority of my friends out of my life as they wern't good for me, sort of like friend cancer and such. As of this moment I have 3 people in my life that I consider friends, people that I help who'd help me, being there for each other, real friends.
As a chef much of my life revolves around a kitchen and really long un-predictable hours but if you need a genuine non-judgemental friend, I'll be your friend!. I speak my mind, keep my promises, like Tony Montana says "in this life all I have is my word and my balls, and I don't break either for nobody", many people these days lack honour, my commitment to my friends and family are the most important things to me. Sry bout the Scarface quotes, me and my sis just watched both of them lol. Also Canadian and proud to be!.

I'd like to be your friend but since you have a lot of friends here on EP you might not even need an extra one. Although I can give you good advice, since I used to get bullied as a kid too. It doesn't hurt to have too many friends, positive people or aquaintances in your life (emphasis on positive). As you get to know more people in your life, you will find which people are best to be acquainted or be friends with. I want you to know that you can always count on me as a friend but I can't guarantee that I'll always be available, since I have a busy life wearing many hats and trying to make my business succeed, I'm just being honest with you. But if there is something really important in your life that you need help with, I'll do whatever I can to help you with some advice. I highly recommend for you to find a trustworthy mentor. preferably a mature woman, since she'll have more experience with problems that women go through. I wish you the best in everything in your life.

i have a best friend who is a girl yeah.....honestly she is like a sister to me ive take care of her and been through alot Ive actually helped her through a depression she was going through by at least making her crack a smile. i knoe the feeling of wanting or needing a friend to text when u need them....about dumb or random things....to keep ur mind buzy...or to juat say hi or hear a nice comforting voice saying u will be alright.....if u want i'll be ur friend.....i cant say i'd be ur best froend because u cant just say we will be best friends becasue the feeling of trust and bonding has to happen naturally....but i will lend my hand to a friend in need :). I'll be ir friend if u want.

U can always vent to me! I kno I have a lot to vent ab. I dnt kno if venting the correct word for it. I guess, just dwn in the dumps. I'm a single mom, try so hard and feel like I get no where! I'm stuck! I have to have a roommate, which is my boss, @ that, bc I dnt think I can make it on my own, paying all the bills, and taking care of my daughter.

online people are like distant acquaintances it's hard to be friends with some until you've spent time goofing around together or helped tem move. that's what I find. I 'm like a 5 friend max person. I cant honesty give more of myself than that. Many acquaintances but few friends is normal or average I think.

You don't have to prove it to anyone that you can be a good friend. You just need to be yourself and that is all that matters. You'll find a friend that appreciates you, for who you are.
