I Don't Have Much of a Relationship With My Dad

I wish I could have a better relationship with my dad. We used to be really close when I was little especially when mom divorced him but then he got remarried when I was six and then I started to get abused by my step mom and then over the years she's turned my dad against me. I finally left a few months before I turned 19 and we've seen each other and spoken a few times. It hurts not being close with him and when I try I always get hurt because he believes my step mom over his first born daughter. I just don't know what to do about it I mean he's still my dad and I love and miss him very much but I can never talk to him because he never believes me and it just hurts
