I Love Windy Days
This is a windy experience I had in July 2013.
I just moved to an other town that happens to be by a shore to the sea and my apartment is very near to the shore, so it can be much windier over here than in the town where I lived before. Just two days after I had moved to this new home, it was forecasted that a very strong windstorm would be coming from the sea and it would be strongest at night and early in the morning. I got so excited about this and decided to go out face this storm in the morning. I started to think of the best place to go enjoy it and what to wear. I then went to sleep, being so excited about this coming storm. I ended up falling asleep but then very early in the morning, about 5.00 am, I woke up as I heard strong wind shaking and banging the roof and the windows very loudly. I got up and looked out from the window, seeing trees and flagpoles bending and waving violently in the roaring wind. My heart raced from the excitement and I knew now to be the right time to go out. I still don't have very large variety of clothes for windy days so I put on a very loose red shirt and my black collared shirt over it and left it unbuttoned, and loose black jeans, and of course also my black fedora. I know I've had these kind of clothes before already in my other windy experiences I've told about and I know if this will start to sound like repeating the same story again, but please let me tell me more.
I had decided to go to a beach a bit further away from the central as the forecast told that the wind would blow straight towards this beach area. This place is a bit further away from my home as well so I decided to go by bike. I tied up my hat on as I went out as I didn't want it to get blown away just yet. As I cycled through the streets, there was barely anyone else outside which of course wasn't surprised since it was so early and perhaps the storm made some people stay at home. I heard only the roaring wind blowing through the town and against me as I kept cycling. The wind wasn't extremely strong in the town though so it wasn't that hard to cycle against the wind, but it felt really nice as the airwaves flapped the hems of my shirt and blew my hair behind my back as I proceeded to the beach.
But what a sight it was when I finally got to the beach! The sea was raging wildly and really strong wind was bending the grass near to the sands down to the ground. I hopped off my bike and put it standing near to an old shed, but the extremely furious wind knocked the bike down instantly and blew very hard against me! I decided to let the bike laying there and quickly walk to the shore as the windstorm blowing from the sea kept blowing hard against me. My shirt was flapping wildly behind my back and the brim of my hat knocked down to my eyes as I pushed against the wind.
To increase the fun and excitement, I started to play with the wind like I usually do when I get a chance to go out enjoy windstorms like this. I loosened up the string of my hat, setting it free. The wind was trying to grab the whole hat off my head immediately, but I was firmly holding on to it's brims with my both hands. I loosened my grip at some moments, giving the wind a chance to steal it, but then grabbing on the brims quickly. But then, the windstorm ended up outsmarting me with this playing because then a really huge gust of wind blew through me! I had to bend down against the wind and I couldn't take tighter grip on my hat as the wind blew it right off my head and through my fingers!
Back on the beach I kept enjoying the powerful wind. After some playing with the wind, I decided to go back home, but as I walked back to my bike, another huge gust of wind blew so hard it almost knocked me off balance. I managed to bend against the wind and keep my balance though. Cycling back home went fine and was also easier since now the wind was blowing on my back.
Even though I lost my hat, it was so wonderful experience and one of the strongest storms I have faced. And I have gotten a new hat after this happened. It has gotten stolen by the wind few times but not completly gone luckily!
Remember to hold on to your hats, everyone!

I stopped by the shore and admired the raging sea infront of me and enjoyed the strong wind, breathing deep and refreshing me. It felt so wonderful to just stand there and let the raging windstorm embrace me, blowing and flapping my clothes hard against my body, the long collars of my shirt flapping against my cheeks, my hair blowing all around my face and trying to blow my hat off, but couldn't since it was still held on to my head with the string and instead just it's brims blowing around. To increase the fun and excitement, I started to play with the wind like I usually do when I get a chance to go out enjoy windstorms like this. I watched my hat flying high into the air and away from the beach and went after it. [image/video - please log in to see this content]
Unfortunately the wind carried the hat all the way to a river leading to the sea and I was unable to retrieve it back anymore. I was impressed by the power and cunning of this storm and just let the hat be as I headed back to the beach to enjoy the wind more. I may sound very strange but it sure felt really exciting and fun that for the first time the wind had blew my hat away in a way that I couldn't catch it back anymore. Don't worry everyone, the hat was very cheap so it wasn't that huge loss even though I lost it and I will try to take better care of my next hat.Back on the beach I kept enjoying the powerful wind.
