I Love Pigs

Pigs are amazing little creatures. I grew up on a farm with many animals, but the pigs were my favorite. I spent many spring mornings watching the little piglets chase each other around the fields. I was always sad when my dad would sell my favorites.

I grew up on a farm as well and I remember Dad buying a pregnant sow. He let her free range and within a few weeks she gave birth to 13 piglets. She nursed them all and it was fascinating to watch them roam freely. If someone got too close the sow would grunt a warning and all her piglets would scatter run and hide.
