The real joke is that if they lived in Britain it probably cost 700, in the US it costs 1500, and in Aus/NZ it costs 3000 with the weird pricing and bullocks currency conversion they do.

That thing is made of resin, and is an army in and of itself. For reference, a warhound scout titan is 2000 points. I think a warlord is 6000 points, but would have to check the points book.
You're right about the price though. And sorry for commenting on such an old post!

@SW-User 6,000 points?! Oh my god. All the models I currently own barely scratch 850.
Related, I'm following Midwinter Minis on YouTube. They just bought a warlord and are slowly putting it together. It's... well, it's massive. The power fist/claw thing is the same size as one of their real people hands. It's hilariously big. I just know I would hate myself for having to work with that much resin.

That's like people who tell me I should play Legacy in Magic. Like, no, I do not have $10,000 to drop on a deck to compete with people who have the money to do this. 😂

@thepreposterouspanda I spent all of like $5 on magic cards and that was good for me. I got my enjoyment out of it, and I can move on. I'm willing to spend a bit more on models because it gives me an arts and crafts project to work on, a game piece to play with, and something to display and be proud of.
Magic cards just sit in a box.

@FaeLuna I just play it online at this point. All my friends that played moved on and don't really talk to me much anymore, so oh well haha. I sold my collection in 2015 for WAY less than it was worth, but I was just too depressed about it all.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@thepreposterouspanda I know a few people that play the online version. Seems to be a much better way to find a game and build a collection than buying random packs and sorting through bins at a shop.

I don't think I'll have the heart to spend so much on toys.

@HopelessGuy Right? I could buy so many things for $2,000! Not one toy model that you can't even realistically use in the game anyway.

@FaeLuna same feeling here.
Also I haven't played any games after PS2.
So never made a in-app purchases for a game😅

Not sure if this calls for the sad heart-holding emoji reaction or the laughing one.🤭 Seriously though, all the jokes about how anyone who plays those games are permanently poor didn't start without reason. It's just stupid expensive.
FaeLuna · 31-35, F
@PirateMonkeyCabinet Oh, the game is definitely over-priced, no doubt. But usually the models are a bit more modestly priced. This one is just so absurdly expensive, it was shocking!
