I Am Dissapointed In Our Society

I'm not gonna rant. But America is literally going down the shitter right now with the current administration. Trump supporters who see this, if you think differently please tell me why.
I might not be seeing what you're seeing. Thanks you

The USA has been in continuous unremitting decline at least since the Vietnamese debacle. Obama certainly hastened that decline with his obsessive idea that European social(ist) democracy was a better system than USA freestyle. Trump has hardly had time to put his feet under the table: his mantra - MAGA - is not to be discarded: he may actually reverse the decline. Certainly a continuation of the Bush/Obama model with the deplorable Hillary would have continued the decline. And I would argue that his appointments have been largely intelligent and thoughtful: men and women of exceptional intelligence and achievement, unlike the political hacks Obama appointed. Wait and see. You don't have any idea of the final result five minutes into the game.

You do make a good point however. It had been shown that our current President has been one to go back on his promises and has made some...controversal comments through his election campaign and although he had stayed somewhat quiet now his actions spoke louder with his first version of the travel ban. Also I would hardly count a person such as Steve Bannon "intelligent and thoughtful". However you are correct. I will see how things unfold, thank you

@LuckyGuy001: Unfortunately, although you may disagree virulently with his views and strategies (I would not blame you) Steve Bannon is in fact highly intelligent, erudite and a thinker, amongst other attributes! Like cunning as a fox!. Another virtue that Trump has that few people seem to recognise. He surrounds himself with people cleverer than he is, and actually listens to their advice, unlike - say Obama - who always knew he was the cleverest man in the room. (HRC is not much better) I don't think of myself as especially clever, but was very successful in business by making sure I employed people a lot brighter the me.
