I'm Blunt and to the Point

I'm not afraid to speak my mind. I'm veru outspoken and I'm disliked for it but I dont care. I am who I am. My mom taught my sis and I to be outspoken, strong, independent ladies. We're not rude we just tell it like it is. My friend got angry at me because I spoke the truth about her deadbeat boyfriend who abuses her and she thinks she can change him. She asked for the truth. I wasn't rude. Now she won't talk to me.

Honest and straightforward is good when people ask for it, although there's nothing dishonest about telling the truth kindly and gently. If somebody asks for the truth and gets mad when you give it, that's their problem.

Volunteering unsolicited blunt truths can become a form of abuse and arrogance. Because I think something does not necessarily mean everybody else needs to hear it.

@TeenGirl01 Then she wasn't ready to hear it. It sounds like you probably were solidly right. Hopefully she'll realize that, although she still may never speak to you again. You've probably heard the saying about "Killing the messenger who bears bad news."
