I Don't Trust Easily Anymore

I have been used, taken advantage of, and betrayed so many times in my life that I just don't trust people automatically any more. I've always had kind and easygoing nature, and that made (makes) me an easy target. I still believe in good people and try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but I'm a lot more cautious and my trust has to be earned. Once I give my trust, I expect it to be honored. Once broken, I won't easily be given back and my never be.
