I Went to a Renaissance Fair

It's been years since I went to the PA Ren Faire. I'd love to go again, but for the last decade I coach soccer. And so every weekend is booked for me from now until just before Thanksgiving. Oh well...

Oh that’s fun!! I should think about going there. I like things like that. 🙂

@Keepitsimple It was always a lot of fun. I may have to go through and look closer at all my schedules - I'm coaching 2 teams this year, and my daughter is coaching 1. Maybe we'll be lucky and have a Saturday or Sunday without any games. (Ha! Not likely...)

@Keepitsimple Yep, checked the schedule. I have at least one game every Saturday and Sunday from now until into November. Oh well... maybe next year...

Awww, that’s too bad :( it’s really nice of you to volunteer your time and coach soccer though. 😉@LookingForIt987

@Keepitsimple I started coaching 10 years ago, because my kids were little (and so had an early bedtime) and I was working 60+ hour weeks. Volunteering to help their coaches forced me to leave work early twice a week - one day for each - and allowed me to spend time with them. And... I fell in love with it. And I've been coaching since. This year is different; it's the first year at least one of them isn't playing - and yet I'm coaching two teams, and my daughter is now coaching a team of her own as well. :)

I’m glad you are doing something you both enjoy and are giving back to the community still and you get to be a part of something you enjoy impacting kids. 😉@LookingForIt987
