What side r u on if u r blissfully unaware

Then they are privielged and unawarely helping the oppressor

So like... I have no idea what is going on in north Korea, but if there is slavery.... I'm helping north korea keep slaves?

What do you actually have to do with Korea? And how can you even affect it? Standing up to injustice that is within your own enviroment and within your own capabilities is what a person can do, sometimes being aware and verbally against it is all someone can do, that itself is fighting as well.

That is my point in a way...

Sometimes choosing to be neutral only means we don't or can't know enough to speak out against it...

I know there r child armies in Africa so I speak put against it, but how can I speak out against the specific armies that are being formed now...

I can't even comment on police violence on either side because I simply don't know who is the victim most of the time... staying neutral doesn't mean I'm picking a side... it might just mean I honestly don't know

@Thegreateast: I see. My point was people of privilege living in areas of injustice and say nothing about bc they're not affected by it, and not get educated about it bc they're also not affected by it, however, if you live countries away and your lack of engagment in their situations is not affecting their corcumstances whatsoever since you live countries away, that's not helping the oppressor

I don't think proximity matters as much as u think it does...

@Thegreateast: Yes, it does. The closer you are to a community the more you can actively help or silence those whk are oppressed. Being part of a community means being effective in it, for better or worse.
