I Stay In My Room a Lot

I've recently moved into an apartment with two others. I know one of them quite well, and the other I only met once before I moved in. Myself and the girl I already know, are quite introverted, so we mostly spend time in our rooms recharging. The other guy is very extroverted (Previous drama school kid). His room is right opposite mine, so we had a chat a from our rooms, as we have a tiny hallway so we don't even have to shout. He asked could he see my room, as he was curious to see the size and what it looked liked, so we both had a snoop around each other's rooms. He said "Wow I can see why you spend so much time in your room, it's so Hygge!". I let him away with that comment, but I generally find the whole Hygge trend a bit annoying, but I was actually quite flattered too. I tend to partake in "nesting" especially when I'm living in shared accommodation where I feel a bit uncertain, or just can't be around a lot of people for too long so I need to create an extra comfortable space. When I lived with just my boyfriend, I didn't feel the need to nest so much, so I definitely think my nesting and Hygge tendencies comes from needing to create a sanctuary away from forced socialising, as a lot of people don't feel comfortable sitting in silence doing their own thing.
