Raked so many of these this weekend, but they are so pretty.

Rake? I use my leaf vac. ;)

@Degbeme I mowed where the leaves are thickest on the lawn. Easier on my shoulders (can get dislocated when my joints are already swollen from arthritis). Last year the boy helped me rake & bag the leaves, which was a big help.

@cherokeepatti Many hands make light work. ;)

@Degbeme the boy offers to help me and enjoys it. I reward him by cooking something that he’s been hungry for.

@cherokeepatti That is a win win. ;)

@Degbeme Yes it is, I like to start baking when the temperatures drop. And he loves what I make. I made myself gluten-free bread on Saturday & asked if he wanted to try a slice when I got it out of the oven. He says “I know you worked hard to have gluten-free so you should keep it for yourself”. I told him have a little bit, put some butter on it and that’s when he starts saying how good it was and it tasted like “Thanksgiving bread”. He kept going on about it and I gave him more. Told him I was born on a farm and the only bread we had was homemade (various types). Gonna make rolls tonight with chicken fettuccine. Potato bread and others later on.

@cherokeepatti You say this while I`m sitting here hungry. 😅

@Degbeme I wish I could send you some hot rolls, I love it when people eat what I’ve baked. When I was young and newly married I baked a lot of things. I rarely bought bread, cookies, cake etc. On Saturday mornings I would be making brownies or cookies etc with the native pecans we had gathered one fall day. A neighbor would knock on the door about the time I had them out of the oven and on a plate. I’d say come in & he’d ask if my husband was home. I’d say no, he’d ask “What is that I smell?” I’d tell him brownies (or cookies) and say “You want some” as I was washing the dishes. Turn around & he’d wiped the plate clean. 😳 and tell me they were good and laugh. I fell for it so many times. 😂 and would make another batch after he left.

@cherokeepatti I do have some homemade banana bread out on the counter once I get some ambition to go get it. But thank you, I love bread. 😍

@cherokeepatti I'm sure it's a big job...it was here

@Degbeme put some coffee on & have a slice

@Sunnykel76 we cut the tall silver maple tree down in the back yard thinking the next ice storm could bring it down and it was fairly close to the neighbor’s house. So a lot less leaves in the back yard but half the leaves we bag up are from the neighbor’s trees that he lets grow wild up against the fences.
