I Value Comfortable Silence
I always worked better or did things better when it's more quiet. Also, who can go wrong with some peace and quiet once in a while? It's refreshing to just enjoy the silence in the air and let it comfort you. Sometimes, I just cannot have the silence I desire. Especially at my house. My Dad is loud 90% of the time he's awake.
So I asked my Dad if he could be a little silent for like 10 minutes since I was going to do something that I do best with a good amount of silence. He told me he understood, and would get some rest in the meanwhile before having coffee later. (My Dad and my Brother are coffee freaks, they drink it every morning and every night at like 7 or 8, I have no idea why)
So right after I talked with my dad, he got up, went downstairs, makes coffee, cleans the kitchen, and calls my brother down to talk. All while being as loud and obnoxious he said he wasn't going to be. I'm not mad at him but it's frustrating when he doesn't respect my wishes, even though I respect his and do him similar small favors.
Now all I can think about, is how the heck are you gonna get some sleep after drinking a cup or two of coffee and cleaning the kitchen? It's almost like he intentionally did the complete opposite of what I asked of him.
