Maybe you could find the strength you're looking for in your relationship with [i]you.[/i] Being more dependent on yourself than on him, could affect a major shift in how you relate to ALL others.
And, choosing to break up with him doesn't mean you don't love him. You can [i]always[/i] have that. It means you're more loyal to the relationship you have with yourself, [i]and working on that to make it better,[/i] than you are to the YOU you're currently sharing with HIM.
How about just taking a break from it for now to give yourself some breathing room so you can make some adjustments in yourself without your being with him, and whatever stuff [i]he[/i] brings to the table, getting in the way?
