I Am a Teacher

It hurts my heart to see one of my brilliant biology students mess a 4 mark question up, just because she got one of the pair of alleles wrong for a dihybrid cross 😢

@SW-User They're finally gonna die permanently. 😔

I could always cut a plasmid with a restrictive enzyme, add the proper gene and fix him or her?

I miss lab work alot. I used to work in one too, a general molecular lab while in University. @Keeper

@SW-User I miss it as well. But since there is a shortage in the construction management fields, I got called back.

They pay me too much to say no. 😂
SW-User
@Keeper They pay me alot here in private school too so in the end, bills and comfort came first. 🙄

Don't you just hate that!!

What's a dihybrid cross?????????
walabby · 61-69, M

which is how you know tests are no true mark of intelligence.
SW-User
Oh yes there is room for error when measuring intelligence, which is why I dont agree with 100% exam based assesments. We split that all up into practicals, presentations, project work. @pentacorn

@SW-User sounds fair enough, and like a decent chance to be closely represented by overall score.

Simple mistakes lol
SW-User
@deadgerbil The simplest. And knowing her, she’s going to be beating herself up over it for weeks lol
@SW-User Keep in mind. Often we learn more from our failures than our successes. We need our mistakes, honestly.
SW-User
@DarkHeaven I can agree to that 😭😞
