Finally! I just finished a game table for my son and his wife. Now I can deliver it to them and regain some room in my workshop. lol. It feels so good to create something. I used poplar wood for the dinner table that sits over top of the game table. I put in some molding strips on the bottom of that table to hold it in place over the recessed game portion. Cup holders for 6 people and a solid base with Red Oak. I enjoyed doing it and nobody needs to know how many mistakes I made and had to correct in the process. It will make a nice house warming gift.

@sassy1 Thank you ms. sassy. My son and his wife are big board game players so I have been very excited about this project. At least for me, it's hard to know what to get grown children, but this has been a great adventure.
