Can you successfully keep house plants alive?

I feel as though my apartment is a plant hospice. Easing transition so plants can go to Jesus.

No, they usually die within weeks. I guess they need sunlight or something. 😅
(In the summer I need to keep the curtains closed day and night to keep the temperature below 30℃/86℉ so I can stay alive myself.)
