I Am Very Blessed
Tonight I was going to have KFC for supper ,just my son and I watch a movie and enjoy some chicken and Dad Son time ,,and the phone rings .
Its my youngest Daughter ,"Whats your plans for supper tonight Dad "?
I tell her we were planning on KFC and she asks ,
So what do you think about me buying some steaks and my Daddy cook for me ?
Well though I did have my heart set on KFC ,and me not having to cook
That crap was music to my ears !!!!,,well I don't know ,I did have my heart .....
What do you think baby ,of coarse and Dad will pay for the steaks .
No Dad I got this ,baked potato and salad sound good ?
SO she gets over bags full of food .
So dear to what do I owe the honor ?
Well Tj's Dad wanted to take us all to the races ,and I said
"Why don't you and the kid's go hang out with your Dad ,and the kids can hang out with their's ,,and I can go hang out with my Dad and my little brother "
She thinks no one can cook a steak like her Dad (All of my kids say that )
And Dad would cook every night for them ,I love cooking for my kids and grandkids .
They go on about how its the best food in the world and I get to spend time with them and see the smiling faces (Its really cool when everyone is eating and no one says a word ,they are just chowing down ,it makes my heart sing )
I have no feminine side to me whatsoever ,that is not a male thing or a female thing
that is a parent thing ,,if you love your kids ,its the simple things and moments that make life worth living .
Her man kept calling telling her he missed her and wished she was there (and I love him he is such a good son in law ,I could not have hand picked her a better man )
But I really swelled up with pride when she said "Look Hun ,you are with your Dad and I'm with mine ,,enjoy your time with him and let me enjoy the time with mine ,
in other words "Stop calling ,enjoy the race ".
I love my kids so much ,and the steak was killer too ,she bought a good one ,
it was huge and marveled just right ,,she paid attention as to how to pick good meat after all LOL
It was more than enough to feed us all and lots left over (it literally melted in your mouth )
We watched "CoCo a movie my son wanted to watch (we do not celebrate the day of the dead)but it was a touching movie ,it was about family too
So it was such a good evening I wanted to share it with my SW family .
There is a reason my family is so important to me ,and a reason little moments like this are icing on the cake but I owe it all to Christ ,He gave my family back to me .
When Christ is first in your life ,He does not care who is second
He will give you the desires of your heart
And He knows mine is to me loved and with unconditional love
My kids and grandkids fill the bill ,,,,and I am Blessed
