I’m in a relationship IRL, trying to do my part to help it work out well. And this is the last one, whether it works out or not. I never want to go through this again.

After the age of 50, which I clearly am a member of that group, people tend to have lost any delusions of the fairy tale. They understand there is work involved and reality is somewhat foreign to the fantasy. I have been married 47 years, but if something happened to that tomorrow, that is it, not happening again.

@helenS All relationships go through ups and downs. We have had our share of problems. But at this time, I feel that the good outweighs the bad - for this particular person and this particular relationship.
