This immediately made me think back when I, and hundreds of others were members on a site called "Soda Head." One morning, I woke up, had breakfast and went to get on to see what was going on, and the site had been shut down-----permanently.
Without warning, the owner shut it down and we all, I guess you could say, "lost" each other. All of these associations we'd all made over the years were suddenly tossed in to the stratosphere. It was painful really, as I lost some good friends.

@WillH43 I'm sure it's obvious to you by now but, it doesn't sound like they were your friends, but were more acquaintances. I'm sure you also realize that, they're the type of supposed "friends" that you can never count on.
