It was. It was very sad. 😔 Ultimately they did the only thing they could do. Yes, it sucks. It absolutely sucks that the gorilla had to die, but in situations like that where you have to execute a plan in a split second because you can't waste any time, what choice do they have? I wish they could've used tranqs, but 15 minutes is too long a time to wait, unfortunately. There's a lot of different directions you could point fingers, but in the end I hope everyone takes it as one final learning moment so that stupid things like this don't happen again...
