I Hate People Who Think Its Funny To Hurt Disabled People

My wife & I are both disabled!!
We live in a apartment on our own in Greensboro North Carolina, over the weekend we got a lot of snow. Near our building there is 2 access ramps 1 right outside our kitchen window & the other is near the front of the complex. Due to the snow the complex people shoveled the ramp nearer to us so we can get out for our bus & or if there was a fire. The main complex hours are Mon - Fri 9am - 6pm, Sat - 9am - 4pm & closed on Sunday. Last night (Sunday night) we saw that someone parked their car right on the ramp, we called the cops but all they did was ticket the car & left. This morning my wife got up for work & saw the car was still there, so now my wife can not go to work & we are still trapped in our apartment in case of a fire!!!

I am unable to answer with any viable response. I am in S. Florida. Born here and I really hate cold weather. I do not have Snow. One of my favorite nightly T.V. shows is 'COPS' WATCH IT. YOU CAN LEARN A LOT FROM THIS T.V.SHOW
My guess is, you wanted them to tow away the car. You might ask your building manager if your first response should have been to HIM.The person on the phone should have got back with you. They didn't. IF you had kept your eyes out for the police arrival you might have seen this last night. They should have come to your door to inform you of their actions and see if you were okay.
Your title for this RANT is not appropriate. You make it sound like the Greensboro police blocked you on purpose. *Personally I would call the same precinct and let them know what the officers did. Tell them the vehicles are STILL blocked. And... next time get a NAME of the person you spoke with n the phone. That way they know if and when you come to be in danger, THEIR name is on the line.
Contact your building manager to find out the proper procedures you need to go through should this happen again. Ask for the phone number of HIS boss and contact them of this same incident. Do get back and let S.W. and myself know the conclusion to this story. ~Carla~

@Carla1951. A big lesson I learned from watching COPS, and advice I give to young women, if your boyfriend/husband is sitting around watching TV and drinking beer out of a can without his shirt on, run! The police are on their way!

DO NOT degrade me! I was not the asker of this question. I listen to the show. I learn my rights. I know how to behave and NOT act the fool.
I am in my 60's I live in a nice neighborhood. I am 66 and my BF is older by 4 years. My home, car and taxes are paid for.(by me) An officer stops you...you ignore him and walk away, He then performs a body slam on the concrete. That person on the ground wont ever be ME. Because I know the RULES.
We do not drink or smoke.

@Carla1951: Get a sense of humor! I answered this question honestly, too. I used to love COPS, I found it funny. Blocked!
