I Got Made Fun Of

I was always a little on the timid side, but being named Howard was the clincher, at least back in grade school. The whole "old man name" thing was bad enough, but due to my personality, "Howard the coward" spread like wildfire. Not my happiest days, tbh.

wow, that was both rough and unfair. unfortunately for you ... you obviously did not have sibs or kinfolk. we had a cousin who had the unfortunate name of "Lynn", who got teased by the boys, "Hey Lynn, why don't you flip up your skirt and show us your panties." Well, the cousins and I got together and we royally beat the crap of the two bullies and then pantsed them so they had to take the bus home in their underwear. That stopped that.....permanently!

Very nasty. I'll bet there are still a few of them you'd like to drop kick over a cliff.

I'd be lying if I said there wasn't. It's one of those things, that, if it happened as an adult, I'd laugh, but when you're a little kid, and it happens almost every day... Well, like you said, dropkick off a cliff.
