Not a question but a comment. Lived in London from August 94 to December 95 and loved it. So much to do. Discovered that room temperature beer really is better and found myself saying words I swore I never would - bollocks, shite, duvet and crisps. Did get a bit tired of explaining that here in Australia we say chips for both chips and crisps and it is not even a tiny amount confusing. If you ask for a bucket of chips or $5 worth of chips you don't get the shop owner getting crisps and pouring them in a bucket. And if you are wanting crisps and aren't actually able to grab them from a shelf and take them to the counter, no-one just says I'd like some crisps/chips - you usually have a choice of brand or always a choice of flavour. I had one friend in particular who just couldn't grasp that concept. I lived in Acton.
