I Feel Like I'm Always Hiding Behind a Mask

My mask off? Okay. I’m either laughing and acting funny to make people laugh, knowing I’m possibly making a fool of myself, and people may criticize me negatively. Or I literally don’t talk, I tell people what to do, but if it annoys them as much as it does me, I try not to as much, so I just avoid conversation altogether. I enjoy talking philosophy, a lot. Or I get mad and react in a “You don’t regard me, that’s fine, I’m out!”, kind of way. That is all.

Let me explain. I wrote this for a friend, and edited it-

In conversation people only talk about people, places, things, or ideas.

If they talk about people... it goes to the negative, a lot of times. Topics are about if things are what we want, or not what we want. It’s selfish, self concerned. We label everything based on if it is what we ‘want’. That bores me. I wish you were with us, but you are not and I can’t change that. I am not very much of a conversationalist, I mainly talk philosophy. If I’m being taught about a subject or taught how to do something I don’t know how to do, I like that. When it comes to the subject of people, talking shit about people bores me too much. Even though I pretend to agree with others when they talk shit about others to avoid confrontation, and I do it too at a loss of a topic to avoid an awkward silence; or if they said or did something I didn’t ‘want’. Wants, wants, wants. People look for me if they want me to do something for them, I answer yes or no. But small talk, I’m not a fan of. I care about you and I wish you the best. Distraction from thought is the best we can seek. The arts: music, writing, reading, dancing, exercising, action, etc. Conversations usually go to the negatives, complaints, and the mocking of others. I’m sorry but I hate that, and it really bores me too much at this point of my life. Mocking is funny though, I do it, I excuse myself thinking I only mock in non-offensive ways, but I guess that is for the audience to judge.
