Interest in railroads.

@soar2newhighs i like your photo..it has that air of mystery too.. if you use a filter to fade out the distance it would have a very similar effect to the photo posted
@soar2newhighs I don’t know why abandoned/discontinued rail lines fascinate me.
@stratosranger the thoughts of what was, a bygone era of travel in luxury.

@stratosranger perhaps you have a fascination for the past and how has changed over time. I guess it's your love of mystery and the not knowing everything about certain lines? Either way it 's a healthy fascination
Many years ago in my old home town there was this odd cement walkway with two very old and rotten benches on it. Over time the benches finally collapsed and were thrown away. There was nothing else in the location and for years I never understood what it was until I found very old maps of the area and realized a rail line had once run through there. What I had seen was the remains of a train platform. The rails and everything else had been removed 15 years before I was born. The cement slab of the platform is still there to this day. @usher
@usher In many ways we lost too much with the rapid development of technology and transportation. Perhaps its the remnant soul of the past that calls to me.

@stratosranger very interesting
I no longer mourn it. Yearning for what is gone is a waste of the present. All we have is here and now. With regret, in the end everything goes. @usher

@stratosranger The yearning can turn to nostalgia for sure, but of course it's great to capture some past moment
