I Hate People Who Deny Domestic Violence Against Men Exists

Another one last night. Another vicious assault causing GBH that some misandrists claim never happens. Another blue light run into A&E. Hopefully this time the police will take action against her.

It's far more common than society dares to admit. It isn't helped by sexist police turning a blind eye saying "it's not a police matter". :(

I don't deny it but Domestic violence remains PRIMARILY something men do to women. statistically speaking it is usually a male abusing a woman. when it's the opposite way it's shocking.

@PDXNative1986 That's what the propaganda says but it's wrong. All the independent studies have found female on male DV is at least as prevalent as male on female.

As a paramedic, I get called to approximately twice as many incidents involving a male victim of a female abuser than vice versa although they are mostly incidents involving serious, potentially life threatening injury.

@Caroline259 Jesus. I've been kicked in the stomach by a jealous ------ who didn't want me hanging around my bestie she wanted her all to herself. The worst pain i've ever felt was delivered to me by a girl. I can certainly buy that some women abuse men but holy shit.

@PDXNative1986 My husband was abused by his first wife so I have a better insight than many people. The police were totally unhelpful claiming, variously, that it wasn't a police matter; that there were no witnesses (even when there were); that the witnesses were his friends so couldn't be witnesses (even when they were complete strangers and, in any case, friends can still be witnesses).

As a paramedic I'm not so aware of incidents involving minor injuries as I don't get called to those. I have read several of the academic studies though.
