I Had a Thought
I close my eyes and look up at the sky,
A sky so blue, a blue so clear and cloudless,
Without any humidity, it shimmers with clarity.
The deeper I look, the more blue it is,
The longer I look, the further I see,
The harder I gaze, the more cobalt it turns.
Until, at last, I see the edge of space.
With my eyes tightly shut.
