Efficiency is the hallmark of how things are done there. It is admirable. But there is a human cost to living in a place like that. As in most Asian cities, life is too fast-paced, too prescriptive, too precise. People don't grapple enough with big ideas, just focussed on making the next big buck.

@novembermoon I admire that they know the importance of time. Too often we do not respect someone else's time, thinking it is infinite, and taking for granted they should share it with us when requested. This is a really hateful way to behave
